A satin glaze in a blue-grey with a glossy interior version of the same.
I throw this form on the potter’s wheel and then alter it and the lid into a soft square shape. The foot is trimmed and then carved for a nice detailed accent giving a little lift and shadow to the base. I also decorate the surface with sponged and trailed slip (the clay version of cake-decorating), swirls and dots of textured pattern. As well as a stripe and a few polka dots of blue to play underneath and pop the slip-trailed pattern.
