Beautiful for use, or use just for beauty. Great for cookies or keepsakes, and elegant in any room. It can hold memories too. Glazed in a satin warm, light yellow with a glossy interior version of the same and accented with lime green polka dots, adding some mod to the Victorian.
I throw this form on the potter’s wheel and then alter it and the lid into a soft square shape. The foot is trimmed and then carved for a nice detailed accent giving a little lift and shadow to the base. I also decorate the surface with sponged and trailed slip (the clay version of cake-decorating), swirls and dots of textured pattern.
